LEWISTON, ID – Idaho State Police responded to a report of a possible abduction near Lewiston on July 4 after a caller reported seeing a female tied up in the back of a vehicle.

ISP Sgt. Hight located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Upon investigation, the suspected person was found to be a mannequin.

Authorities confirmed the report was a false alarm but said they treat all calls seriously and follow up to ensure public safety.
