17-Year-Old Girl Stabbed Multiple Times in Seattle Home Invasion

SEATTLE, WA — A 17-year-old girl is recovering in the hospital after being violently stabbed in a West Seattle home early Saturday morning. Seattle police say they are actively searching for two teenage suspects, a male and female, believed to have fled the scene before officers arrived.

Just after 12:20 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a burglary and assault at a residence in the 7100 block of 17th Avenue Southwest, in the Delridge neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found blood on the front door and entered the home under the belief that suspects might still be inside.

Inside the house, police located the 17-year-old victim suffering from multiple stab wounds across her body. She had lost a significant amount of blood. Officers pulled her to safety, and Seattle Fire Department personnel treated her at the scene before transporting her to Harborview Medical Center. She is listed in serious but stable condition.

Police secured the area and called in the Hostage Negotiation Team and SWAT. After obtaining a search warrant, SWAT officers searched the home, but the suspects were not located.

The motive and events leading up to the stabbing are still under investigation.
