MONTEVIEW, ID – The Uvalde Foundation for Kids has concluded a 10-day ground search for 13-year-old Allen Fischer and 15-year-old Rachelle Fischer, who were the subject of an AMBER Alert issued by the Idaho State Police on June 23. The teens were last seen the evening of June 22 in Monteview, Idaho, and are believed to have been abducted by individuals affiliated with the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS).

During a press conference held Thursday morning in Temple, Texas, foundation director Daniel Chapin announced the decision to end ground operations, citing new information suggesting the teens are no longer being moved and are instead being hidden at a single location by members of the FLDS group.

According to the AMBER Alert, Allen is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 135 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Rachelle is 5 feet 5 inches tall, 135 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a green dress. Authorities believe the pair may have been traveling in a gray Honda sedan with Utah plates and could be in the company of adult siblings.

The Uvalde Foundation mobilized 48 volunteers, who logged more than 120 hours and covered over 1,000 miles across Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado in an effort to locate the teens. Despite the extensive search, their current whereabouts remain unknown.

Chapin commended the efforts of law enforcement partners, including the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho and Detective MacArthur of the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona.

“We do not believe these kids are being transported anywhere at this point,” Chapin said. “We are not giving up on these kids. They will be found.”

Although the physical search has ended, the foundation affirmed its ongoing commitment to the case and vowed to continue pursuing all leads.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 208-745-9210. Additional updates can be found at https://isp.idaho.gov/alerts.
