LEWISTON, ID – A Clarkston man is facing multiple felony charges after being found inside a stolen vehicle in Lewiston and allegedly in possession of a firearm he is legally prohibited from having.
According to police reports and court documents, 22-year-old Jordan A. McNish was arrested the morning of July 6, 2025, after Lewiston Police located a stolen red 2008 Subaru Forester parked at the Mountain Dew Skate Park on Snake River Avenue. The vehicle had been reported stolen the previous day from a residence on Park Avenue.
Witnesses told police that McNish entered the residence without permission, acted erratically, and was believed to be under the influence of drugs. He reportedly took the car keys from atop a microwave before leaving unnoticed.
When officers located the Subaru, McNish was found inside. The documents say a Browning 6mm pistol was visible in the center console cup holder. Police confirmed that McNish is a convicted felon, and he allegedly acknowledged knowing the pistol was present in the vehicle. As a felon, he is barred from possessing firearms.
The pistol was later identified as belonging to the Subaru’s owner. A representative acting on her behalf told police the firearm was missing from the residence, leading investigators to believe McNish had also stolen the weapon.
McNish was taken into custody and booked on two counts of grand theft and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. The Subaru is valued at approximately $5,500.
McNish appeared in court on Monday. Bond was set at $20,000.
