U.S. Marshals Investigating Possible Travis Decker Sighting in Idaho Wilderness

BOISE, ID – The U.S. Marshals Service Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s help in locating Travis Caleb Decker, the fugitive wanted for the alleged murder and kidnapping of his three young daughters in central Washington.

Decker is wanted on three counts of murder and three counts of kidnapping related to the disappearance of his children, ages 5, 8, and 9, during a visitation on May 30, 2025. The girls, Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia, were last seen during a scheduled three-hour unsupervised visit with Decker, which he failed to return them from. Their mother, Whitney Decker, reported the children missing.

On July 5, the U.S. Marshals Service received a tip from a family recreating in the Bear Creek area of the Sawtooth National Forest in Idaho. The individual they encountered matched the description of Travis Decker.

The person was described as a white male, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall, wearing a black mesh cap, black gauged earrings, cream-colored t-shirt, black shorts, and either Converse or Vans low-top shoes. He had a long ponytail, an overgrown beard and mustache, a black Garmin-style watch, and was carrying a black JanSport backpack.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office, the U.S. Marshals Service Communication Center at 1-800-336-0102, or submit a tip online at www.usmarshals.gov/tips.
