LEWISTON, ID – Members of the Inland Empire AAU Regional Karate Team from the LC Valley delivered standout performances at the 2025 AAU Karate National Championships held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from July 2nd to the 5th. The team competed in multiple divisions, showcasing their skills in weapons, kata, and sparring events against top-tier competitors from across the United States.
Anton Arthur from Lapwai took home two national titles, winning the 17-Year-Old Boys Advanced Sparring National Championship in both Black Belt Heavy Weight Sanbon Sparring and Ippon Sparring. He also earned a third-place finish in the 15-17 Year-Old Boys Intermediate/Advanced Rotational Sparring category.
Meanwhile, 12-year-old CC Subis earned a second-place finish in the Girls Novice Weapons division. She also claimed the first-place title in the Girls Novice Heavyweight Sparring competition.
