RICHLAND, WA — A Kennewick man was arrested Wednesday following a months-long investigation by the Southeast Regional Internet Crimes Against Children (SER-ICAC) Task Force.
The investigation began after SER-ICAC received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, which reported multiple apparent child pornography files being downloaded by a suspect. Detectives secured several search warrants to confirm the suspect’s identity, ultimately identifying Brehden R. Durflinger of Kennewick as the individual involved.
Durflinger was taken into custody without incident with assistance from the Richland Police Department, Kennewick Police Department, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, and ESD K9 Blaze.
Authorities also executed a search warrant at Durflinger’s residence on the 9000 block of W Gage Blvd., where several electronic devices were seized for forensic analysis.
Durflinger was booked into the Benton County Jail on multiple counts of first-degree possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct (RCW 9.68A.070).
The investigation remains ongoing.
