CLARKSTON, WA – A Lewiston man is facing multiple charges following a series of reported incidents involving alleged threats and assault.
According to court records, 28-year-old Tyler Kirby was arrested after multiple encounters with law enforcement in May and June. The incidents apparently involved two different women. Allegations include physical assaults, property damage, and threats of violence.
The first report came on May 22, when a woman contacted authorities about a custodial interference issue. Later that day, Kirby is accused of entering her home without permission, threatening to kill her, and leaving with their children. The woman told deputies that she had experienced multiple prior incidents with Kirby.
On June 4, deputies responded to a separate incident outside a church in Asotin County, where Kirby allegedly attempted to strike the same woman. Although the alleged strike missed, the woman told deputies she felt the resulting wind on her face from the attempted strike. Kirby then reportedly shattered her vehicle’s driver-side window with his hand. Deputies documented a text message from Kirby acknowledging the breaking of the window..
According to court documents, A third incident occurred on June 16 at the Asotin County Aquatic Center. A second woman told officers that he swung a water bottle at her during an argument and struck her phone from her hand. A lifeguard observed part of the altercation and escorted Kirby from the premises. A code enforcement officer with the Clarkston Police Department who was present also reported seeing Kirby swing the water bottle in a way that appeared to hit her.
On June 30, 2025, the Asotin County District Court issued an arrest warrant for Kirby. The warrant lists three counts of assault in the fourth degree, two counts of harassment, and one count of malicious mischief in the third degree.
Kirby was taken into custody and booked into the Asotin County Jail on Thursday. The warrant specified a bond of $7,500.
