LEWISTON, ID – A motorhome fire on Powers Avenue Saturday evening resulted in serious injuries to one occupant and caused minor damage to nearby property, according to the Lewiston Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched around 5:20 p.m. on July 12 to a fully involved motorhome fire at 1735 Powers Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle heavily engulfed in flames. One person inside the motorhome suffered significant burn injuries and was transported to the hospital by paramedics. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.
Thanks to a rapid response, the fire was contained to the motorhome. While nearby vehicles and the adjacent residence sustained minor damage, the structure was preserved.
The Lewiston Fire Department responded with three engines, two ambulances, a chief officer, and two fire investigators. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
