Trailer Fishtails, Causing Rollover Crash on US20 Near in Southern Idaho

BONNEVILLE COUNTY, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred at approximately 4:35 p.m. on Friday, July 11, on eastbound U.S. Highway 20 near milepost 314, just south of Ucon.

According to ISP, a 31-year-old Idaho Falls man was driving a 2006 Dodge Durango towing a 1995 Kit Manufacturing Company trailer when the trailer began to fishtail. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the Durango to roll and the trailer to detach. The trailer flipped onto its side and came to a stop in the eastbound lanes, while the Durango ended up in the westbound lanes.

All occupants of the Durango were wearing seatbelts and were transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance.

Emergency responders from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Bonneville County Fire, and Bonneville County Paramedics assisted at the scene. The westbound lanes of US20 were blocked for approximately two hours while crews responded to the crash.
