Danone U.S. Recalls YoCrunch® Yogurt Products Nationwide Due to Plastic Contamination Risk

NATIONAL — Danone U.S. has voluntarily recalled a wide range of YoCrunch® yogurt products sold across the United States after reports of plastic contamination in the dome toppers. The recall was initiated on July 11, 2025, and officially announced on July 14.

According to the company, small transparent plastic pieces—ranging from 7 to 25 millimeters in length—were found in the toppers, posing a potential choking hazard. These fragments may have sharp edges but are limited to the topping components and do not affect the yogurt itself.

The recall includes all flavors and package sizes of YoCrunch® products currently on the market, including varieties topped with granola, M&M’s, OREO cookies, Snickers, Twix, and cookie dough. A full list of affected UPCs and expiration dates is available through the FDA and company resources.

Consumers are advised not to consume any of the recalled products and to check their refrigerators for affected lot numbers. Refunds or further information can be obtained by contacting the YoCrunch® Consumer Care Line at 1-877-344-4886, available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

Danone U.S. stated it is working closely with retail partners to remove the affected products from shelves and is cooperating fully with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
