CLARKSTON, WA – A man was arrested last week after allegedly making death threats and violating a permanent trespass order at a local grocery store.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Clarkston Police Department, Eugene R. Wilson, 62, was arrested on Tuesday, in connection to an incident earlier in the month at the Albertson’s Grocery Store on Bridge Street. Wilson is facing charges of Harassment—Threats to Kill and Criminal Trespass in the First Degree.
The investigation began on July 7, when the store employee reported that a man—later identified as Wilson—had been denied an alcohol sale and allegedly responded by threatening to return with a gun to shoot the employee. The employee stated the man had been turned away multiple times in the past due to intoxication or belligerent behavior.
Surveillance footage was handed over to police on Tuesday and reportedly showed Wilson inside the store, pointing at the employee and making a “gun” motion with his fingers while reportedly stating, “You’re not going to live to see the end of the day,” according to a witness statement.
Wilson was later located by police on Port Way and was reportedly intoxicated at the time of his arrest. Officers say he admitted knowing he was trespassed from the store but still entered and attempted to purchase alcohol.
He was booked into the Asotin County Jail.
