VIDEO: Congressman Fulcher Honors Fallen Firefighters in House Floor Speech

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Russ Fulcher took to the House floor this week to honor two Idaho firefighters who were killed during an ambush attack in Coeur d’Alene on June 29.

In his speech, Fulcher paid tribute to Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Frank Harwood and Coeur d’Alene Fire Department Battalion Chief John Morrison, both fatally shot while responding to a fire on Canfield Mountain. A third firefighter, Engineer Dave Tysdal of the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department, was seriously injured but is reportedly recovering.

“These men represent the very best of Idaho,” Fulcher said. “Their courage, heroism, and dedication will never be forgotten.”

The congressman condemned the “disturbed, cowardly individual” responsible for the ambush and urged Idahoans and Americans to pray for the families of the fallen and for the continued recovery of Tysdal.
