Western Washington Firefighters use Narcan to Revive Puppy Exposed to Fentanyl

LACEY, WA – A Lacey Fire District 3 crew revived a small puppy this week after finding it unresponsive inside a vehicle where fentanyl was present, the department reported.

On Tuesday, using their training and a small dose of Narcan, firefighters were able to revive the puppy at the scene. The dog is now doing well, according to the fire district.

“It’s not every day we use Narcan on a four-legged patient—but our teams are ready for just about anything,” the agency stated in a release.
