LAPWAI, ID – Nimiipuu Health has released Missing Pieces – The Story of Colleen Lupe, a moving documentary developed through its Memory Care Program in partnership with Mezia Media. The film honors the life of Colleen Lupe while shedding light on memory loss and dementia in Native communities.

The documentary premiered in Lapwai on April 15, followed by a screening at the NMPH Women’s Wellness Conference on April 24. It also reached a national audience during the Indian Health Service Division of Clinical and Community Services Conference, held May 12–16.

Since its debut, Missing Pieces has been shared with more than 12 Tribal communities. It serves as both an educational resource and a tribute to families affected by dementia.

Nimiipuu Health expressed appreciation to the Jackson family for sharing their story and to Mezia Media for its production support. The Memory Care Program continues to promote the film as part of its mission to support caregivers and raise awareness about dementia.

Additionally, Nimiipuu Health is collaborating with Mezia Media to produce a series of 11 short videos. These segments will highlight key teachings about dementia, drawn from Colleen Lupe’s story, and will serve as culturally grounded tools to support education and understanding in Tribal communities.
