Orofino to Host Governor Brad Little for “Capital For A Day” Event on July 24

OROFINO, ID – The City of Orofino will be recognized as Idaho’s “Capital For A Day” on Thursday, July 24, 2025, as part of a statewide outreach effort led by Governor Brad Little.

To mark the occasion, Governor Little and members of his administration will be hosting two public sessions at the Best Western Riverside Conference Room in Orofino. The sessions are designed to provide residents an opportunity to meet with state leaders, ask questions, and share concerns about local and statewide issues.

The event schedule includes:

  • Morning Session: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • Afternoon Session: 1:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
A lunch break will occur between sessions.

Local officials encourage community members to attend and participate in the discussions. The “Capital For A Day” program is intended to bring state government closer to the people by temporarily relocating executive branch leadership to cities across Idaho.

“We look forward to seeing you all,” the Mayor, City Council, and staff said in a joint statement.
