LEWISTON, ID – A traffic stop in Lewiston on Friday led to the arrest of a Weippe woman on multiple drug charges, including trafficking methamphetamine.

According to a report from the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began when a deputy pulled over a black Toyota Scion near 3110 Frontage Road for apparent equipment issues with the vehicle, including a defective headlight. The driver was identified as 26-year-old Sheane K. Christianson-Roper.

During the stop, a second deputy arrived to assist and a K9 unit was deployed. The K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, prompting a search of the vehicle. According to court documents, deputies located a lockbox containing marijuana residue and a small collection of drug paraphernalia, including a smoking device, a rubber marijuana pipe, and a spoon with white crystal residue.

The documents say further inspection revealed multiple plastic bags hidden under the emergency brake lever. The bags contained a white crystalline substance which field-tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine. Deputies also found additional paraphernalia including hypodermic needles and plastic zip bags. The total weight of the seized methamphetamine was approximately 59.23 grams.

Christianson-Roper was arrested and booked into the Nez Perce County Jail for felony trafficking methamphetamine.  She is also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to provide insurance.

All seized substances have been sent to the Idaho State Lab for weight and substance confirmation.

Christianson-Roper was already on probation in relation to another Nez Perce County drug-related case from 2024.  She is scheduled to make her initial court appearance Monday afternoon on the new charges.
