25-Year-Old Moscow Man Agrees to Plead Guilty to Possessing Child Sex Abuse Material In Federal Court

MOSCOW, ID – A 25-year-old Moscow man accused of possessing child sexual abuse material has reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors.

According to court documents, Nathanael Jensen has agreed to plead guilty to one count of possession of child pornography in U.S. District Court in Idaho. Federal prosecutors have agreed to drop two additional charges in return for the plea.

The case began in August of last year when the Moscow Police Department received a CyberTip from Dropbox that Jensen had child sex abuse material on his phone. In February of this year law enforcement stopped Jensen while he was driving in Moscow and seized his phone with a search warrant. Investigators found child sex abuse material on his phone. Jensen was arrested by the

Latah Regional SWAT Team and Moscow Police at his Moscow home later that same day.
Jensen was originally charged locally in Latah County Second District Court. The U.S.

Department of Justice took the case to the federal level with an indictment in late February.

Jensen faces up to ten years in federal prison.
