LEXINGTON, KY – For the fifth consecutive season and sixth time overall, Lewis-Clark State Volleyball was honored by the America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) with a Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT.

“Earning this prestigious academic recognition for the fifth consecutive year is a true testament to the commitment and discipline of our volleyball program,” coach Katie Palmer said. “This honor reflects the incredible effort our student-athletes put into their academics and the unwavering support from the LC State faculty and staff, whose dedication to student-athlete success makes achievements like this possible. I would be remised if I didn’t mention that we set a program record for team GPA this spring with a 3.74. LC State is truly the place to be not only on the court but in the classroom too.”

To earn the team accolade, a volleyball program must maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Warrior Volleyball held a mark of 3.74. The team had five student-athletes earn a 4.0 GPA in the spring in Gianna Anderson, Hannah Dotson, Juliauna Forgach Aguilar, Abbey Neff and Kate Schneider. Twelve Warriors had a grade point average of at least 3.5 in the spring.
