Moscow Officers Arrest Two on Drug Dealing Charges After Vehicle Check

MOSCOW, ID – Two people have been arrested in Moscow for allegedly selling narcotics. The case began on Monday morning around 11:00 when a Moscow Police Officer was called to check on people sleeping in a pickup on Lieuallen Street.

The man in the driver’s seat, 31-year-old Shaun Claypool, allegedly told the officer that they had used fentanyl. According to court documents, Claypool then refused to comply with the officer’s orders, and he was taken into custody.

The Moscow PD’s drug sniffing dog Ragnar, was called in and alerted to narcotics inside the truck. Officers searched the vehicle and reportedly found 27 fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, a scale, and hundreds of dollars in cash. Police also discovered new power tools in original packaging that were seized as possible stolen merchandise.

28-year-old Cyra Cunningham and a man identified as Ruben Padilla were also inside the truck. Cunningham allegedly told officers that she sells drugs on occasion for extra money.

Claypool and Cunningham were arrested for possessing a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Padilla was taken into custody on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Records do not indicate where Claypool, Cunningham, and Padilla are from.
