ASOTIN COUNTY, WA – A small wildfire, known as the Smiley Fire, has been reported in southwestern Asotin County within the Umatilla National Forest.
According to Asotin County Emergency Management, “We are aware of a small wildfire within the Umatilla National Forest in southwestern Asotin County. According to the Blue Mountain Interagency Dispatch Center it is 1/10th of an acre in size, there is an engine on scene and they are reporting that they do not need any additional resources.”
The fire was first detected at 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, and remains active with no containment details currently available.
