Southern Idaho Man Arrested for Suspected Child Exploitation

CASSIA COUNTY, ID – A 48-year-old Cassia County man has been arrested for alleged sexual exploitation of a child following an investigation by the Idaho Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit.

Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced that Theodore Prevost was taken into custody on Tuesday, July 22. Prevost is charged with four counts of distribution and two counts of possession of computer-generated visual depictions of child sexual exploitation. Additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

“My office and ICAC unit remain committed to protecting families, educating parents, and keeping children safe online,” said Attorney General Labrador. “Anyone in Idaho who uses the internet to exploit minors will be found and held accountable by our ICAC investigators.”

The arrest was made with assistance from the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office, Rupert Police Department, and affiliates from the Meridian and Idaho Falls police departments.
