30-Year-Old Man Killed in North Idaho Motorcycle Crash

ST. MARIES, ID – A 30-year-old Spokane man died Sunday after a motorcycle crash on State Highway 3 near milepost 92, north of St. Maries.

According to the Idaho State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 11:41 a.m. on July 27. The man was riding a black 2025 Kawasaki ZX400 motorcycle southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound 2016 Toyota Rav4 driven by a 20-year-old man from Missoula.

Emergency personnel administered life-saving measures at the scene. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was airlifted by Life Flight to Kootenai Health, where he later died from his injuries. His next of kin has been notified.

State Highway 3 was completely blocked for about two and a half hours while Idaho State Police conducted the investigation. The incident remains under investigation.
