CLARKSTON, WA – The Asotin County Department of Emergency Management is advising boaters to avoid the area of the Snake River near Chief Timothy due to aerial firefighting operations.

At the request of the Incident Commander for the Clayton Road Fire in Garfield County, air resources are filling out of the Snake River in that location. Officials are asking the public to stay away from the area if possible and to use extra caution when on the water nearby.
