WEIPPE, ID – Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible kidnapping involving a 10-year-old boy on Saturday afternoon, July 27.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched around 12:56 p.m. after receiving a report that two family members had taken the child from his mother’s residence without permission. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the juvenile. An Attempt to Locate (ATL) alert was issued.

A short time later, the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office contacted CCSO and advised they were meeting with the child and the involved family members at a local park. The boy was safely returned to his mother.

The incident remains under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
