NAMPA, ID – A small plane crashed Sunday evening in a residential neighborhood near the Nampa Airport, killing all three people on board.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:41 p.m. on July 27. According to the Nampa Police Department, multiple 911 calls were received reporting the incident. First responders arrived in the 200 block of N. Venice Street, where they found the aircraft had struck an unoccupied outbuilding.
All three occupants of the plane were pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were reported on the ground.
Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration responded to the site, and the National Transportation Safety Board is expected to arrive on Monday to take over the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of their families.
“My heart grieves for those who tragically lost their life. Our thoughts and prayers are with their extended family during this difficult time,” said Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling.
