LCSC Athletics Garners Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Award from NAIA

LEWISTON, ID – Lewis-Clark State College Athletics was named an NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Award Winner at the Gold level by the national office on Monday. LC State was one of 210 schools to earn the honor.

The Warriors earned all 100 points on the Champions of Character scoresheet. The 13 LC State teams totaled more than 1,600 hours of community service work throughout the school year and finished the 2024-25 campaign with a department grade point average of 3.41.

“LC State is committed to excellence in the classroom, in competition, and in character,” LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said. “I congratulate and could not be more proud of our student-athletes, coaches, faculty and staff for earning this recognition.”

Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year. The Cascade Conference was named a Champions of Character Five-Star Conference as more than 60% of schools received the award.
