ASOTIN, WA – The Asotin Police Department is advising residents and commuters to prepare for traffic delays as construction begins on 1st Street, Highway 129, between Cleveland Street and Washington Street.

Starting Wednesday, July 30, this section of the highway will be reduced to a single lane to accommodate the road work, which is expected to continue through Thursday, August 29.

Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes and avoid the area when possible to help maintain safety for both travelers and construction crews.

“We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as this important road work is completed,” said Chief Monte Renzelman of the Asotin Police Department.
