LEWISTON, ID – A Spokane man is facing felony charges after authorities allegedly found over 200 grams of methamphetamine and suspected cocaine during a traffic stop in Lewiston on July 27, 2025.
According to court documents, 46-year-old Apollo G. Warnock was arrested following an investigation by the Quad Cities Drug Task Force (QCDTF), which had received information that Warnock was trafficking methamphetamine into the Lewiston/Clarkston Valley. Detectives learned that Warnock frequently drove a white Toyota Corolla registered in his name, bearing Washington license plate CRN8137.
On the day of the arrest, a Lewiston Police Department sergeant located Warnock driving the Corolla in the 1300 block of 10th Avenue around 10:48 a.m. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and because Warnock had an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. During the stop, Warnock was taken into custody and transported to the Nez Perce County Jail.
Officers observed a large amount of cash in Warnock’s wallet during a search of his person. Warnock requested that his vehicle remain parked at the scene, but due to suspicions of drug trafficking, officers deployed a K9 unit, which allegedly alerted to the odor of narcotics inside the car. A search warrant was obtained and executed around 12:29 p.m.
Inside the vehicle, investigators reportedly found a camouflage backpack on the front passenger floorboard. The bag was secured with a lock, but officers were able to open it using a key located on Warnock’s key ring. The backpack allegedly contained approximately 8 ounces (250 grams) of methamphetamine, a digital scale, packaging materials, drug paraphernalia, $1,300 in cash, and two bags of a white powder suspected to be cocaine.
Warnock was booked into jail on charges of trafficking methamphetamine in excess of 200 grams. At the jail, he allegedly admitted to being a drug addict but would not identify the unknown white substance, though he stated it was not fentanyl.
Authorities noted that Warnock has at least seven prior felony convictions, including for drug-related crimes, burglary, and cyberstalking.
As of July 28, 2025, the case has been filed in Nez Perce County, where prosecutors are pursuing felony drug trafficking charges.
