CLARKSTON, WA – A man is facing multiple charges following his arrest late Tuesday night in Clarkston after allegedly entering a motorhome without permission, taking a pair of shorts, and being found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
According to court documents filed in Asotin County Superior Court, Clarkston Police arrested 42-year-old Rocky Brian Cole at 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday, in the 1000 block of Port Way.
The alleged victim contacted police after returning home and finding Cole inside his motorhome wearing Barker’s red basketball shorts. He told police he had locked his motorhome before leaving earlier in the day and believed Cole gained entry by sliding open a small window near the door. He said Cole went through his belongings and left the motorhome in disarray.
Police located Cole nearby wearing the red shorts. When questioned, Cole initially stated that he thought it was acceptable to enter the motorhome because it was unlocked. He later allegedly gave conflicting explanations, saying he had gone inside to clean, then later claimed he was looking for water. Cole acknowledged the shorts may have belonged to the victim.
Cole was arrested at the scene. During the booking process at the Asotin County Jail, officers allegedly found a clear plastic container, two glass pipes, and a piece of folded foil concealed in a bandage wrapped against Cole’s inner thigh inside his leggings. The container held a small amount of a white crystal-like substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine using a field narcotics analysis test.
Cole was booked on suspicion of residential burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
