MOSCOW, ID – Puppeteers for Fears is performing their newest terrifying and hilarious show, “Robopocalypse: the Musical,” at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow on Sunday, August 3.
The all-pupper horror and sci-fi musical comedy troupe is fresh off their national tour of “Cthulhu: the Musical.”
Their newest show is described as a cyberpunk escapade exploring the rise of AI on a world still struggling to remember its email passwords, with a cast of hand-and-rod puppets (“Muppet-style”) and a live band.
“This is the most ambitious show we’ve ever done,” says playwright and company director Josh Gross. “In addition to the complexity of the puppets, because of the cyberpunk themes, we’re really working the multimedia angle in the staging. It’s got digital backdrops, virtual reality, appliances having rap battles — everything.”
Attendees should note the performance is R-rated and not for children. Tickets and additional details are available here.
