PULLMAN, WA – Washington State University has named Jennifer Klein as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer and Matthew Skinner as Vice President of Finance and Business Services.

Klein steps into the permanent HR role after serving as interim leader for the past year. She joined WSU in 2008 and will focus on improving HR practices, boosting efficiency, and enhancing communication.

Skinner, who has been with WSU since 2003, will lead a new department aimed at aligning financial operations with university priorities. His team will streamline planning, reporting, and decision support.

“Both Jennifer and Matt are exceptional leaders who are committed to supporting the university’s historic mission,” said Leslie Brunnelli, Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration. “Their expertise and passion will be instrumental in strengthening day-to-day operations and positioning WSU for long-term success.”
