LEWISTON, ID – Construction on the 12th Street Sidewalk Infill Project is scheduled to begin Monday, August 11, according to a city announcement released Friday.
The City of Lewiston has contracted Knife River Corporation – Mountain West to carry out the project, which will improve pedestrian infrastructure along 12th Street from Airway Avenue to Warner Avenue, as well as a portion of Bryden Avenue between Thain Road and 12th Street.
Planned improvements include:
- 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalks
- Concrete curbs and gutters
- ADA-compliant pedestrian ramps
- Stormwater swales
- Pavement patching
Work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on weekdays. Temporary delays and disruptions are likely for both motorists and pedestrians during construction. The city advises that schedules may shift due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.
