BOISE, ID – Three suspects, including two 18-year-olds and a juvenile, were arrested Saturday night following an assault and shooting at a Boise business.
According to the Boise Police Department, officers responded to the 6300 block of W. Fairview Ave. shortly after 9:30 p.m. on August 2 for a report of shots fired. While en route, officers were informed that a physical altercation had also occurred and that the suspects had fled in a vehicle before police arrived.
According to police, the incident began when 18-year-old Bailey Geesey entered the business and stole alcoholic beverages. When a store employee confronted her and instructed her to leave and not return, Geesey allegedly punched the employee in the face, initiating a physical fight.
Shortly after, two additional suspects — identified as 18-year-old Junior Antonio Alvarodo Hernandez and a juvenile male — entered the store and joined in the assault. Police say all three suspects punched, kicked, and stomped on the employee, who was on the ground and backed into a corner of the store.
During the assault, the employee retrieved a firearm and fired at the suspects, striking Hernandez. The three suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Responding officers located a vehicle matching the suspect description at North Curtis Road and West Irving Street and conducted a traffic stop. All three suspects were inside the vehicle.
Geesey was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on charges of aggravated assault (felony) and first-offense commercial burglary (misdemeanor). The juvenile suspect was booked into the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center on a felony charge of aggravated assault.
Officers provided medical aid to Hernandez, who had sustained a single gunshot wound, before he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was later booked into the Ada County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault (felony).
The store employee was also transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Boise Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
