The Clarkston Police Department has confirmed that the woman found deceased on the Greenbelt Trail has been identified. No further information is being released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.

CLARKSTON, WA – The Clarkston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman found deceased on the Greenbelt Trail. The death is being investigated as a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and authorities say there is no ongoing risk to the public.

The woman is described as a white female, believed to be in her late 70s to 80s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build, short gray hair, and hazel eyes. At the time she was found, she was wearing a blue visor with a silver pin, a blue and gray plaid long-sleeve shirt, dark blue jeans, and blue shoes. She had a black cane and was carrying a blue fanny pack.

Police believe the woman was a regular user of the Greenbelt Trail and may have been known for handing out treats to dogs. She may have had a white dog with her at the time of her death. No identification was found, and no nearby vehicles matched the victim’s description.

Anyone with information that may help identify the woman is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Boyd at 509-758-1680.
