OLYMPIA, WA – The Washington State Department of Health has released its Regional EMS Opioid Overdose Surveillance Report for July 2025, documenting 1,471 suspected opioid overdoses across the state.
The monthly report tracks EMS responses where opioid use or naloxone administration was indicated. Data is compiled from records submitted to the Washington Emergency Medical Services Information System (WEMSIS) and covers the period from July 1 to July 31, 2025.
Key Statewide Figures:

1,325 incidents included an opioid-related medical impression.

Regional Breakdown:

Other regions, including North, North Central, Northwest, South Central, and Southwest, reported figures ranging from 39 to 172 suspected overdoses.
