LEWISTON, ID – At 6:44 a.m. on August 9, 2025, the Lewiston Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 1521 Warner Avenue.
First-arriving crews encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the front door and front side of the residence. Significant fire involvement was found throughout the home, with flames extending into the attic, multiple bedrooms, and the living room. Smoke damage was present throughout the structure.
Firefighters initiated an aggressive attack and were able to knock down the heavy fire conditions within approximately 20 minutes. Crews remained on scene for an additional 90 minutes to check for extension and perform overhaul operations to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
The Lewiston Fire Department responded with three structural engines, three ambulances, two chief officers, and one fire inspector, totaling 18 personnel. Mutual aid was provided by the Clarkston Fire Department and Asotin County Fire, adding nine additional personnel to the response.
There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Damage to the structure and its contents is estimated at $550,000.
