Clarkston Teen Arrested for Felony Malicious Injury to Property

LEWISTON, ID – A Clarkston teen has been charged with felony malicious injury to property following an incident that caused an estimated $5,000 in damage to the front door of a Lewiston business.

According to court documents, officers with the Lewiston Police Department were dispatched to the Big Smoke Store on 18th Street on August 9 for a reported alarm. Responding officers found the right side of the double front door shattered.

Security footage reviewed by police allegedly showed another individual approaching the front door, followed by 18-year-old Noah E. Wall, who allegedly is seen throwing a smaller rock and then a larger rock through the glass, breaking it. The documents say Wall told police that the pair went to Big Smoke with the intent to steal alcohol.  The two reportedly fled after breaking the door and did not enter the store.

Wall was later located, taken into custody, and transported to the Nez Perce County Jail. He was booked on one count of felony malicious injury to property.  Wall is expected to make his initial court appearance on Monday afternoon.
