Update: The Idaho Department of Correction reports that Justin Wallis, who walked away from a Nampa worksite earlier today, is back in custody. Officials credited swift coordination between law enforcement partners and IDOC staff for locating and apprehending Wallis.
NAMPA, ID – Authorities are searching for a Nampa Community Reentry Center resident who failed to return from a job assignment Monday morning.
According to the Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC), 36-year-old Justin Wallis walked away from his work site in Nampa at around 6 a.m. on August 11.
Wallis is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing tan pants and a black hoodie.
IDOC records show Wallis has prior burglary convictions in Ada County. He became eligible for parole in July 2018 and was scheduled to complete his sentence in January 2026.
Anyone who sees Wallis or has information about his location is urged to call 911.
