Motorcyclist Killed in Collision Near Albion

ALBION, WA – A 50-year-old Albion man died Saturday evening following a two-vehicle collision on Pullman Albion Road, just east of the town of Albion.

According to the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers at WHITCOM received a report of a vehicle-versus-motorcycle crash at 8:46 p.m. on August 16. Deputies arrived to find that the motorcycle, traveling westbound, had crossed the centerline in a curve and collided with an eastbound vehicle.

Emergency responders from Albion EMS and Lifeflight attended to the motorcycle rider, who was the only person injured in the crash. The rider, identified as Anthony Emerson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, 20-year-old Deleah Garcia of Pullman, was not injured.

The Whitman County Coroner’s Office is investigating, and Emerson’s next of kin have been notified. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
