MOSCOW, ID – Two Moscow City Councilwomen are now running for mayor. Julia Parker filed her candidacy for mayor on Wednesday morning. Councilwoman Hailey Lewis filed her candidacy for mayor on Monday.
Mayor Art Bettge is not running for re-election.
Candidates are needed for three Moscow City Council seats that are on the ballot this fall. So far only Sage McCetich has filed for a council seat. The post currently held by Councilwoman Gina Taruscio is also up for a vote.
The candidate filing period is underway for dozens of small taxing district positions in Latah County. Idaho candidate filing ends a week from Friday on August 29th at 5:00. Filing is conducted through the county auditor’s office in Moscow.
