Forbes’ annual rankings, conducted with market research firm Statista, are based on a nationwide survey of more than 160,000 employees working at organizations with at least 500 people. Respondents, both current and former employees, as well as individuals familiar with the university, were asked to rate and recommend employers on a scale of zero to 10 related to pay equity, culture, advancement opportunities and responsiveness to serious issues like harassment.

This marks the third Forbes honor for Boise State in consecutive years. In 2024, in addition to the top ten Idaho employers, the university was also recognized as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers, placing 51st in the nation.
