MOSCOW, ID – Plans for a second Chick-fil-A in Moscow are continuing as the national chain has confirmed that they will expand to Palouse Place.
Moscow Mayor Art Bettge announced last winter that a second Chick-fil-A was coming to town and the mall’s website showed the new location would be at the old Sangria restaurant site.
Work never progressed, the reference on the mall’s website was removed and Chick-fil-A informed Pullman Radio News earlier this summer that they had no plans for a second location in Moscow.
In recent weeks crews have begun to demolish the old Sangria building and Chick-fil-A Inc. now confirms to PRN that it will be a new location for the chain. The statement notes that the locally owned and operated restaurant will employ up to 120 people.
There is already a Chick-fil-A location inside the student union building at the University of Idaho.
Palouse Place used to be called the Palouse Mall.
