LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston Civic Theatre will bring the whimsical and heartfelt musical Big Fish to the stage this fall, running September 25 through October 12 at the Normal Hill Campus, the former Lewiston High School Auditorium.
Big Fish tells the story of Edward Bloom, a charismatic storyteller whose larger-than-life tales of witches, giants, mermaids, and circus adventures captivate everyone—except his son, Will. As Will prepares to become a father himself, he begins a journey to separate fact from fiction in his father’s stories, only to discover deeper truths about family, imagination, and legacy. With its blend of fantasy, music, and emotion, the production invites audiences into a world where dreams and reality intertwine.

The production will be directed by Andy Meyers, who currently serves as Resident Director for House of Spirits NYC. Meyers has worked extensively across the country, leading companies such as Fort Peck Summer Theatre and directing productions at Arizona Broadway Theatre, Missoula Children’s Theatre, and the Public Theatre of San Antonio. As a performer, his credits include national tours of Annie, Bus Stop, and A Christmas Carol, as well as Off-Broadway productions and appearances with The Metropolitan Opera. Meyers is also the founder of AM Theatrical, Inc., a company dedicated to arts education and community engagement.
Performances are scheduled for Thursdays through Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are available online at lctheatre.org, by phone at 208-746-3401, or at the door.
