FREMONT COUNTY, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 20 near Rexburg.

The crash happened at 4:02 p.m. on August 26, 2025, at milepost 341, just north of the city. According to investigators, a 46-year-old man from Rexburg was driving a white 2013 Ford Transit van westbound when the vehicle veered onto the right shoulder and rolled, coming to rest on its roof.

Authorities confirmed that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene. His identity has been withheld pending family notification, which has since been made.

Idaho State Police reported that no other vehicles were involved and the roadway remained open during the investigation.

The incident remains under review.
