WALLACE, ID – The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies and rescue crews responded to a serious UTV rollover in the backcountry after the vehicle tumbled an estimated 50 to 100 feet down an embankment.

According to officials, the driver was ejected during the crash. Emergency responders reached the scene and coordinated for the driver to be airlifted by Life Flight for advanced medical care.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released further information about the driver’s condition. Authorities are reminding recreationists to use caution while traveling in rugged and remote terrain.
