LEWISTON, ID – The Powerball jackpot has grown to an estimated $950 million for Saturday night’s drawing, with a cash value of $428.9 million. The prize ranks as the sixth-largest in the game’s history and the biggest advertised jackpot in more than a year.
The jackpot rolled over after no ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing. The winning numbers were white balls 9, 12, 22, 41, 61 and red Powerball 25. The Power Play multiplier was 4.
Six tickets won prizes worth $1 million or more by matching all five white balls. The $1 million-winning tickets were sold in Arizona, New York and Virginia. Three additional tickets in Mississippi, Ohio and Virginia doubled their winnings to $2 million each by including the Power Play option.
In total, 40 tickets won $50,000 prizes and 10 tickets won $200,000 prizes.
During the Double Play drawing, a ticket sold in South Dakota matched all five black balls to win $500,000. Double Play, a $1 add-on feature, allows players to enter their Powerball numbers in a separate drawing for a chance to win up to $10 million.
Saturday’s drawing will mark the 39th since the jackpot was last hit in California on May 31, 2025.
If won, the jackpot winner may choose between the annuitized prize of $950 million, paid in 30 installments over 29 years with a 5-percent increase annually, or a lump sum of $428.9 million. Both options are before taxes.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since its launch in 1992, Powerball has generated more than $36 billion for state-supported programs and good causes.
Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET in Tallahassee, Fla., and are broadcast live and streamed online at Powerball.com.
The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
