KOOSKIA, ID – The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 36-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening following a report of a vehicle off the roadway in the Winona area, just outside of Kooskia.
According to the sheriff’s office, dispatch received the call around 6:00 p.m. on August 28. A deputy responded and located a vehicle that had gone off the road, with the driver, identified as Quinton Ryan, standing nearby. The deputy reported detecting the odor of alcohol and began a DUI investigation.
Ryan was taken into custody and booked on a charge of felony driving under the influence.
The sheriff’s office emphasized that the arrest came after a citizen report and said the incident demonstrates its commitment to addressing traffic safety concerns and protecting the public on Idaho County roads.
Authorities noted that all charges are allegations at this stage, and Ryan is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
