COLFAX – The Washington State Patrol reported a fatal head-on collision Friday evening on State Route 195, approximately four miles south of Colfax.

The crash occurred at milepost 32 around 7:01 p.m., according to WSP. The highway was fully blocked following the collision, with traffic detoured north and south of the crash site.

Authorities have not yet released details regarding the number of vehicles involved or the identity of the deceased.

No estimated time for reopening the highway was provided Friday night. The investigation remains ongoing.
