The effort will focus on restoring a wetland area located along a nature walking trail and upstream of Missouri Flat Creek, an important local waterway. Volunteers will plant native trees and shrubs, including quaking aspen, ponderosa pine, and coyote willow, to improve water quality and create more wildlife habitat .

Organizers say the event is designed to be both family-friendly and community-oriented. All ages are welcome to participate, and tools, supplies, and refreshments will be provided. Those who register by September 17 will also receive a free event t-shirt .

Participants are encouraged to be prepared for uneven terrain and changing fall weather conditions. Transportation to and from the site will be required.
